Highlight Paintings

Not too many black and white paintings from me.

i guess if i'm going to the trouble to do a painting it might as well have color.

i have to admit to a fascination with "glossy" black, accomplished below on the right via Rustoleum.

There is a perverse belligerence to being taught to "avoid black" when painting in "Art School",

and a "lack of color" having  enough integrity to be shiny.

The "Flattest Black possible is also a quest i am on, but that's a story for later.
